Whitetail

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

Overview

  • Rated:
  • Type of trail:  Wide, intermediate cruiser
  • Head down the Ant Hill and take the second left.  Whitetail is a wide cruiser that continues the entire length of the hill down to the chair.
  • Tip:  Part of the way down the middle section of Whitetail, you'll see an offshoot to Silvertip on your left..  This is a short, ungroomed section that is nice to dabble in to determine snow consistency off-piste.

View approaching Whitetail:

Whitetail is down the Ant Hill and off to the left:

Looking back up the Ant Hill from Whitetail.  You can see the small alternate entrance just slightly up the hill.  This is NORMALLY not groomed:

Looking down Whitetail from the Top:

The trail seen in the distance is Caribou.  Whitetail itself angles slightly right, so the lower part is not seen in this picture:

Looking up at Whitetail (left) and Marmot (right) from the Whitetail/Caribou junction:

Middle section of Whitetail:

Just prior to the last pitch, you will see the access to Silvertip.  That route is usually not groomed.

Last pitch of middle section:

Last section of trail:

Looking up.  In the distance, left to right, are Goat Haunt, Whitetail, and Silvertip:

The trail crosses under the lift and is bordered by the "Tree Farms":
