Kodiak

Clicking on the photos enlarges them. Photos are taken as you come down the hill. They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken. Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

Overview

Rated:
Type of trail: has a short, steep section that is usually moguled. Occasionally groomed. Beyond that one section, it's an intermediate trail, maybe even a green.
Take Caribou, past Silvertip, and Kodiak is on your right. This trail attracts a fair number of people who should not be on it. Consequently, there are usually bodies laying around and gangs proceeding down in a pack. Seems to develop surprisingly choppy, hard moguls given its location.
