Black Bear Trees

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

Overview

  • Rated:  not rated or marked on map.  Guessing it would be considered at least.
  • Type of trail:  steep, treed area
  • Just past Black Bear, and before Big Horn.  This area, like all of the back side, has consistently good powder.  It does seem to attract snowboarders and the trees are tight in some areas.  At the bottom, traverse over to the Big Horn run out to the left or back onto Black Bear to the right.
