Overview

  • Rated:
  • Type of trail:  Intermediate cruiser
  • Head down the Ant Hill, past Marmot and Whitetail on your left, and take the left fork at the bottom to Goat Haunt and Caribou.  The right fork is Russ's Street.  Goat Haunt is an undulating cruiser for most of the season.  Unfortunately, mid-season it is frequently converted to a terrain park, effectively reducing the width to less than half of the normal width.  This terrain area is "skier cross" and is frequently the site of competitions.  It is not appropriate for beginners to be in the skier cross section of the trail!
  • Tip:  Goat Haunt provides access to Window Pane and Stumptown.  Take a right into the trees any place you see a lot of tracks heading.  These are treed areas of various densities and pitches that eventually terminate at Chair 7.  Unless you are keeping Goat Haunt in view, it is advised to do this with someone familiar with the areas.  BE CAREFUL WHEN CROSSING THE SKIER CROSS ARES TO ACCESS Window Pane or Stumptown.
  • Tip:  As you approach the midway point of Goat Haunt, you'll see an off-shoot to Whitetail on your left.  Both continue back to Chair 7.
