Bench Run

(aka "The Benches".  Individual routes may have names I'm not aware of.)

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

Overview

  • Rated:
  • Type of trail:  Intermediate cruiser.  Groomed daily.  More of an alternate route down Toni Matt and more of an area than one particular run.
  • Getting off Chair 1, head back over your right shoulder towards the front of the mountain and take the right fork as you leave the lift area.  Follow the Toni Matt signs until you near the snowmaking pond on the right.  There is a junction and skier's left is the Benches area.
  • Most of the routes return to the Toni Matt trail, but the left route passes Heep Steep, Little Bavaria, Powder Bowl and Larch before returning to Toni.
