Larch

(Please note that on-mountain signage conflicts with the trail map.  The trail map labels this area as included with Corkscrew.)

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

Overview

  • Rated:
  • Type of trail:  Short run alongside Corkscrew.  There is a discrepancy between what the trail map calls this section and the on-mountain signage.  I have decided to go with the on-mountain signage.
  • Accessed from The Benches, or via a cat track from The Chute.  A cat track passes Heep Steep, Little Bavaria, and then Powder Bowl.  Larch begins right at the end of the cat track.
