Corkscrew

(Excludes an area shown as Corkscrew on the printed trail map, but labeled on the hill as Larch.)

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

Overview

  • Rated:
  • Type of trail:  Intermediate cruiser with some thrilling rollers.  Groomed most days, but not all days.
  • Accessed from Toni or the Benches, OR the run out of Heep Steep or Powder Bowl
  • This run is part of the "Ursa Major" route used by the Doug Smith and NorAm races over the years.  Some of the pictures below were taken during those races.
  • Be careful crossing Russ's Street, people are trying to keep their speed up and not always looking up hill as they head to Chair One.
