Langley

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

Overview

  • Rated:
  • Type of trail:  Treed area that runs down to the base lodge.  Tree density varies depending on your route.  There are cleared sections as shown in the photo below.  I've never seen it groomed, however.  Since this run faces south and is on the lower part of the mountain, conditions can vary considerably.
  • Accessed  from Upper Langley or Langley Trees.
  • The difference between Powder Trap and Langley is a bit murky.  For my purposes, I'm using Chair Four as the division for now.  It is also unclear where the split is between Friends of Langley and Langley.
  • One of the oldest runs on the mountain and route of the 1949 Nationals.
