Overview

  • Type of trail:  Connector road over to the bottom of Chair 4.  I don't even understand why this trail exists except to get to Chair 4 when Chair 1 is not working.  For beginners, it involves a lot poling.  The name comes from the fact that there is a barn at the end of this trail.
  • Accessed from top of Chair Six, bottom of Chairs One and Two.
  • This is a "slow skiing" zone.  It would be hard to achieve much speed on this run anyway, unless you are coming down Middle Fork and hang a sharp left around various ropes.

View from Chair 1 loading area of entrance to trail:

View of trail about half way along.

There is a cut through the woods that does not seem to maintained for skiing, but might be skiable given a lot of fresh snow.  That cut will dump you on to Huckleberry.  The trail itself is curving off to the left in the picture.

As you come by the barns, there is an exit heading back to Huckleberry:

Or, just past that, Barndance meets up with Expressway and provides another opportunity to return to the Base Lodge area:
