Radio Tower

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

  • Rated:  Not rated, but  terrain.  Technically out of bounds.
  • Type of trail:  Short, lightly treed, moderately steep area, emptying onto Hell Fire.  Hiking is required.  The back (north side) is skied as well, but is significantly steeper and heads into continuing out of bounds terrain.  The south side shown heads back into inbounds terrain.
  • Coming off Chair One, head left towards Hell Fire.  When you get to the snowmobile track, you'll see a boot track heading up the ridge.

Overview of area as seen from Big Ravine:

Radio Tower is the area above the horizontal trail (Hell Fire):

The boot track up the ridge is visible in the distance.

Further along Hell Fire, looking up to the area of Radio Tower beyond the aspect shown above:

Clearly, if it didn't involve boot packing, this would be full of tracks!
