Nice Day

(Originally "Slalom")

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

Overview

  • Rated:
  • Type of trail:  Intermediate cruiser, always groomed.  Occasionally restricted access due to gate training for the resort's race team.
  • Take Chair Two and turn left as you exit the lift.  Pass the trail map and continue on and the trail will widen considerably.  On your right will be Hellroaring, on your left Ed's.  The statue of Jesus will be behind you.  Take Hellroaring at first, until it meets up with Nice Day.
  • If you come over from the Chair One area, you'll take Big Ravine down its first pitch, then exit onto Interstate on the right.  That will bring you to the top of Mully's, but continue across to get to Ed's, then ski some more to get to Hellroaring.
  • Please be considerate of both the racers and the coaches if the hill is in use for gate training.  Jumping in the course is not appreciated as there are few people assisting in course maintenance during training.

Take a good look, as this junction is quite confusing.  This picture is taken from Hellroaring.:
