Ranger Trail

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

Overview

  • Rated:
  • Type of trail:  Short, Intermediate cruiser.  Not always groomed.  Not open for night skiing.
  • Take Chair Two and turn left as you exit the lift.  You can take either Swift Creek or Hellroaring to get to Ranger Trail.
  • If you come over from the Chair One area, you'll take Big Ravine down its first pitch, then exit onto Interstate on the right.  That will bring you to the top of Mully's, but continue across to get to Ed's, then ski some more to get to Hellroaring.  Continue through the intersection with Nice Day, Swift Creek, and Heaven towards Home Again.  The Ranger Trail will be on the left.
  • As you descend Ranger Trail, prepare to take the track on the left (Ski Way) to get back to Chair Two.  Depending on conditions, you may have lost quite a bit of speed as you near Ed and Mully's restaurant and have to do some poling to reach Chairs One and Two.
